UAE issues new passport regulations
OFWs seeking work in the United Arab Emirates or returning to their jobs in the emirates should check that their passports are valid to avoid delays in their employment, advises the POEA. The POEA issued these guidelines to UAE-bound OFWs:
If no UAE residence permit - Their Philippine passport must be valid for not less than six months. If with UAE special entry permit or employment visa - Their Philippine passports must be valid for not less than three months. Without valid passports, OFWs will not be granted a UAE entry permit or entry visa, needed by any foreigner in order to enter the emirates and to return to his home country, or to the country that issued his passport. |
